Adi Kailash Yatra will run for 3 days a week and BRO will do road construction for 4 days

DM Pithoragarh gave instructions due to landslide on Adi Kailash Yatra route

Pithoragarh. Due to road construction work on the Adi Kailash Yatra route ahead of Dharchula in the district, due to the obstruction of the Yatra route due to landslides, the District Magistrate Reena Joshi, with the aim of keeping the Adi Kailash smooth Kumaon Mandal Development including officersTook an important meeting with the officials of Corporation, Deputy District Magistrate Dharchula and other related departments in the Collectorate’s office room.
In the meeting, the District Magistrate held a detailed discussion regarding smooth functioning of Adi Kailash Yatra and gave necessary guidelines to the concerned officials. During the discussion, it was decided that Adi Kailash Yatra will be continued for 3 consecutive days in a week, while road construction work will be done by BRO for 4 consecutive days in a week. Adi Kailash Yatra will not run on 4 days of the week for road construction whereas some road construction work will be continued by BRO on 3 days of week for Adi Kailash Yatra. But the road will also be kept smooth during the 3 days fixed for the yatra so that the Adi Kailash Yatra does not get disrupted. In the meeting, the District Magistrate instructed the Commander BRO Harish Kotnala, connected through online medium, to obtain permission from the higher officials of BRO within the next 3 days that they would do road construction work continuously for 4 days a week, whereas in view of the Adi Kailash Yatra, the week In 3 days slowing down the pace of workWill keep the road smooth for Adi Kailash Yatra.The District Magistrate said that Adi Kailash Yatra is as important as Char Dham Yatra. Due to the closure of the road, it is not appropriate for the passengers to return without visiting Adi Kailash mountain, so BRO should provide proper cooperation to the district administration in keeping the Adi Kailash Yatra smooth.
In the same meeting, the District Magistrate directed the Manager Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam to take special care that the passengers should not face any kind of problems during the Adi Kailash Yatra. The guide accompanying the passengers should compulsorily have the necessary knowledge of first aid treatment.
The District Magistrate instructed the Chief Medical Officer to keep the arrangements for all the necessary health check-ups of the passengers at the designated places on the Yatra route. He also instructed the Chief Medical Officer to hire an ambulance for stationing an ambulance at Gunji. On the other hand, the District Magistrate instructed the ITBP officers that a doctor should also be posted in Gunji by them. DFO Jeevan Mohan Dagade, Chief Development Officer Varun Chaudhary, Superintendent of Police Lokendra Singh, Manager Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam Dinesh Gururani, Chief Medical Officer HS Hayanki and officers of Tourism, SSB, ITBP were present in the meeting
