Biodiversity Park in Haldwani and then zoo will become tourist destination: Bhatt

Union Tourism Minister Ajay Bhatt did on-site inspection of the proposed Biodiversity Park in Goalapar

Haldwani. Union Tourism Minister Ajay Bhatt made a site inspection of the proposed Biodiversity Park at Goalapar and took complete information regarding the construction of the Biodiversity Park from the officials of the Forest Department. Officials said that Biodiversity Park is proposed on 42 hectares of land, in which action is underway to make it attractive from tourism point of view along with flora of various biodiversity.
Union Tourism Minister Ajay Bhatt said that there is no tourist destination in Haldwani for tourists coming from far off places, so the government will build Biodiversity Park and then Zoo. So that tourists coming from far and wide will get a tourist destination in Haldwani, in which they can enjoy roaming in different types of flora and better tourist destination. The Union Tourism Minister said that at present there is no technical problem regarding land transfer as per the rules of the Government of India. Therefore, soon the state and central government will hold talks and work for the construction of Biodiversity Park in this. After the completion of bio-diversity work in the first phase, a zoo is proposed in 300 hectares, in which animals of different species including tigers, leopards and other species will be seen. The Union Minister said that overall the government has a target of making 1 tourist destination in Haldwani, which will be given auspicious form soon. On this occasion, District President Pratap Kumaon Conservator of Forests Prashant Kumar, Additional District Magistrate Ashok Joshi, Chief Conservator of Forests Sandeep Kumar, Deputy District Magistrate Manish Kumar Bisht, Renu Adhikari, Saket Agarwal, Dinesh Khulbe, Vijay Manral, Mukesh Belwal, Naveen Bhatt, Deepak Pandey , Laxman Khati, Prakash Harbola, Bhavna Shah, PradeepBisht, Paan Singh Mewari, Pratap Rackwar, Balam Bisht, Prakash Bisht etc were present.
