Champawat . On-site inspection of Tanakpur Sharda Ghat, Kasturba Gandhi Residential School and Bhajanpura Primary School was conducted by District Magistrate Narendra Singh Bhandari on Wednesday evening.
During the on-site inspection of Sharda Ghat, the District Magistrate, while conducting on-site inspection of ghat construction works by the Irrigation Department, directed the Assistant Engineer Irrigation to make special arrangements for security while bathing along with all the necessary facilities for the devotees at the ghat. Where the depth of the river is high, warning boards should be installed in such places, as well as special attention should be paid to the quality of the ongoing construction works. During this, he also directed the police department to deploy water police force from the necessary sub-divisions so that any untoward incident could be prevented from happening. He also gave instructions to the concerned to put up boards related to the progress of the construction work of the Irrigation Department.
During the inspection, the District Magistrate gave instructions to the concerned officials to make regular cleaning arrangements, parking arrangements, changing rooms in the Ghat, as well as better cleaning of the toilets from time to time. The District Magistrate said that all the necessary arrangements should be completed soon so that the coming devotees do not face any kind of problem. By making temporary vehicle parking near Sharda Ghat for incoming vehicles, ensure arrangement of drinking water and toilets there.
After this, the District Magistrate also inspected Government Primary School Bhajanpur located in Banbasa.
During the inspection, it was informed by the headmaster that at present 251 children are studying in the school. He informed that the school building has become dilapidated due to the lack of space for the students as well as the building being very old. In this regard, the District Magistrate instructed the Chief Education Officer present on the spot to prepare a proposal from the executive body for repair of the building and construction of its second floor. After this, Kasturba Gandhi Residential School located in Tanakpur was also inspected by the District Magistrate.
On reaching the school, the District Magistrate was welcomed by the girl students after finding the District Magistrate in their midst. During this, the District Magistrate talked to the girl students and inquired about their studies and the warden about the school. During this, the District Magistrate played table tennis along with having food with the children and also gave them tips for various competitive examinations for their bright future. Deputy District Officer Tanakpur Sundar Singh, Chief Education Officer RC Purohit, Assistant Engineer Irrigation RK Yadav, Warden of Kasturba Gandhi School Prema Thakur and others were present during the visit
