Prakash Goswami decided to make Pakhadandi a motorway after seeing the troubles of his children and villagers in remote Panel village of Bageshwar district. Prakash, a 43-year-old daily wage laborer and father of five children, also faced the challenge of earning a living. Apart from his daily wages, he made up his mind to give his free time for road construction. Prakash started widening the fortnight from 6 to 8 in the morning and making the road. Apart from this, after returning home tired from wages at 5 pm, Prakash, once again a strong thinker, gave two to three hours for road construction. Prakash told that apart from this, whenever he did not get work, he got involved in road construction work. According to Prakash, when he conveyed the matter of road construction through public representatives to the administration and MLA MP, the demand of the village could not be fulfilled. When he got tired of demanding, he himself made a 500 meter motorway by spending one year. Children and villagers used to face a lot of trouble due to lack of connectivity to go to the village’s primary school, Kajuli and Kot temple, which has now been resolved. District Magistrate Anuradha Pal told in this matter that she will hand over the report to the SDM of Garuda and the team of forest department after conducting an on-the-spot inspection of the route
