Earning of 37.89 crores from vehicle challans in 2022 CPU challaned 1.05 lakh and other police challaned 5.87 lakh

Kashipur. In the year 2022, the Uttarakhand Police collected a fine (combination fee) of Rs 37 crore 89 lakh by challaning 6 lakh 92 thousand vehicles. This disclosure came from the information made available by the Police Headquarters to Right to Information Activist Nadeem Uddin AdvocateKashipur resident information rights activist Nadeem Uddin Advocate had sought information from the Public Information Officer of the Police Headquarters, Uttarakhand about the vehicle challans made by the police in 2022 and the fines (combination fee) collected. In response to this, Public Information Officer/Additional Superintendent of Police (Personnel) Shahjahan Javed Khan of Police Headquarters has provided copies of details provided by Inspector General of Police/Director Traffic Uttarakhand Mukhtar Mohsin along with his letter number 648According to the information available to Mr. Nadeem, the Uttarakhand Police has challaned a total of 6 lakh 92 thousand vehicles in 2022, in which 1 lakh 5 thousand were challaned for CPUs. 4 districts units and 5 lakh 87 thousand challans have been done by other police officers. A total fine (combination fee) of Rs 37 crore 89 lakh has been collected by the police on these challans. In this, C.P.U. 3 crore 65 lakhs has been collected by the IPC and 34 crores 24 lakhs by other police officers. Among the challans made by the units of Dehradun district, maximum 36 thousand challans have been made and a fine of 1 crore 8 lakh 99 thousand has been collected, while in second place the units of Udham Singh Nagar district have made 29 thousand 400 challans and 93 lakh 45 thousand Fine has been collected. 27 thousand 100 challans were issued by the units of Haridwar district and a fine of 1 crore 8 lakh 75 thousand was collected. 12 thousand 600 challans were issued by the unit of Nainital district and a fine of Rs 54 lakh 25 thousand was collected.CPU. Apart from this, maximum 1 lakh 34 thousand 500 challans were issued in Dehradun district and 10 crore 26 lakh fine was collected, 1 lakh 1 thousand 800 challans and 7 crore in Udham Singh Nagar district, 6 thousand in Uttarkashi district. 900 challans 27 lakh fine, 70 thousand challans in Tehri district, 3Fine of crore 48 lakh, 16 thousand 500 challans and 1 crore 7 lakh fine in Chamoli district, 9 thousand 700 challans and 47 lakh fine in Rudraprayag district, 33 thousand 100 challans in Pauri district, 1 crore 26 lakh fine, 80200 challans in Haridwar district , 3 crore 03 lakh fine, 60 thousand 400 challans in Nainital district, 3Crore 41 lakh fine, 18 thousand 900 challan in Almora district, 1 crore 24 lakh fine, 14 thousand 200 challan in Bageshwar district, 67 lakh fine, 25 thousand 300 challan and 97 lakh fine in Pithoragarh district, and 15 thousand 900 in Champawat district Invoices were issued and compounding fee (fine) of Rs.81 lakh has been recovered
