In the hearing of the Electricity Regulatory Commission, the industry opposed UPCL’s proposal
Dehradun. Energy Corporation‘s proposal to pass on the burden of costly electricity purchased every month to the consumers has been rejected. In the hearing held in the Electricity Regulatory Commission, the industry vehemently opposed UPCL’s proposal. Now the commission will invite suggestions from the public by issuing a draft at its level.
UPCL had demanded to fix the fuel surcharge adjust every three months. A proposal was also sent to the Commission to pass on the additional electricity purchased from the market every month to the consumer. A hearing was held on this proposal in the Electricity Regulatory Commission on Tuesday. There was fierce opposition to this proposal. The commission has rejected this proposal. MK Jain, the technical member of the commission said that now the commission will issue the draft from its own level. Suggestions will be invited from all the people including the general public on that
