Good news: workers will get treatment facility from ESI card
Haldwani. Additional Director of ESI Directorate, Dr. Amandeep said that ESI dispensaries will start soon in seven districts of the state. After that, ESI cards of workers will start being made in those districts. He said that a notification in this regard is expected soon. After that workers in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Almora, Pithoragarh, Champawat and Bageshwar will also get the facility of ESI card. At the same time, the process of filling the vacant posts of doctors has started in other dispensaries of Uttarakhand.
The state government has given the task of filling the vacant posts of doctors in the ESI dispensary under the labor department to the Medical Services Selection Commission. The commission is going to start the recruitment process in a few days. There are two ESI hospitals and 30 dispensaries in the state. Thousands of laborers come in these for treatment. Due to shortage of doctors in most of the dispensaries, treatment is not available. Due to this patients have to be referred to the affiliated hospitals
