Fraud case filed against 193 parents

Fake income certificates were put in the application to take advantage of the Nanda Gaura scheme

Haridwar. A case of fraud has been registered against the parents of 193 candidates who applied with fake income certificates in the Nanda Gaura scheme. The applications have already been rejected in the CDO investigation. On the instructions of departmental minister Rekha Arya, a case has been registered on behalf of the Child Development Department. The role of CSC centers in making fake income certificates is suspected, which is being investigated.
In Haridwar district, in the financial year 2022-23, to take advantage of the Nanda Gaura scheme, a case of forgery by tampering with income certificates had come to the fore. In this, in the financial year 2022-23, 70 out of total 1328 applications to get benefits of the scheme on the basis of birth and 123 out of total 4174 applications to get benefits on the basis of 12th pass, income certificates were tampered with. . Chief Development Officer Haridwar has canceled these applications on the tampering done in the certificates. This much benefit is available under the scheme
Under the Nanda Gaura Devi Kanyadhan Yojana, Rs 11,000 is given to the parents at the time of the birth of a girl child by the state government. After this, Rs 51,000 is given to the girl child on passing the intermediate. This assistance amount is given to the parents of eligible girls
