IAS teacher brother drowned in Ganges while rafting in Rishikesh

Rishikesh. An IAS officer posted in Bengal has filed a case against the rafting company operator and two rafting guides for drowning in the Ganges during rafting. The drowning was the brother of an IAS officer and was a teacher.
Harish Kumar Meena (34) resident of VPO Benar, District Jaipur Rajasthan had come here to hang out with his other friends during rafting at Brahmpuri on Friday. He was a teacher in Kendriya Vidyalaya Delhi. Harish Meena jumped into the Ganges with his companions to enjoy swimming in rafting. His life jacket was separated from the body, in a short time he disappeared in the waves of the Ganges. On Saturday, Harish’s friend filed a case against the rafting company operator and two rafting guides. Harish Meena’s IAS brother Surendra Meena is posted in Bengal.
Vikas Kumar, a companion of the teacher who drowned in the Ganges, said in a complaint to the Munikireti police station that he had booked a raft from Himalayan Tigers Adventure. The operator charged them full money in advance, but did not adopt safety standards during rafting. The raft was lowered into the water with only one guide and without giving any information during the rafting everyone was dropped from the raft across the Osho Ashram.
Only then another raft coming from behind was fired over his partner Harish Kumar Meena. Because of which he drowned
