In Kotdwar now in Simli village the tiger made a retired teacher a morsel

Dead body found from Gadre, second incident within a week, panic among villagers

Kotdwar. The tiger has now made 72-year-old Ranveer Singh a morsel in Simli village of Nainidanda block. Ranveer Singh’s dead body has been found from a donkey some distance away.
According to the police, Ranveer Singh was a retired teacher. His wife had gone to Dehradun to be with her children. Nowadays he used to live alone in the house. In the morning, there was a stir after his dead body was found about 50 meters away from the house. The villagers told that last night Ranveer Singh might have come out of the house for defecation and the tiger attacked him. Range Officer of Garhwal Forest Division Mahendra Singh Rawat said that information about the matter has been received. There are marks of tiger attack on the body. It may be known that on Thursday, a man working in the field near the house in Rignikhal was taken away by a tiger. His dead body was also found by the villagers from the donkey. The second incident of tiger attack within a week has created panic among the villagers.
Elderly Virendra Singh (66) was made a morsel in village Ladwasain of Tokgram Dalla of Gram Sabha Meldhar under Rikhanikhal block on Thursday evening. Even after the villagers made noise, the tiger kept Virendra Singh under control for about an hour. Later, the villagers lit torches and threw them, then the tiger went to the bushes at some distance from there. After this the villagers reached home with the dead body. Due to the terror of the tiger, the villagers are afraid to go to the fields and forests. The villagers have demanded to set up a cage to catch the man-eating tiger
