License of 45 pharmaceutical companies of Uttarakhand canceled

Government of India took action across the country due to poor quality of medicines

Dehradun. The Government of India has canceled the licenses of pharma companies manufacturing substandard medicines. Uttarakhand has 45 companies in these companies. It is alleged that the quality of their medicine is not as per the prescribed standards. The Drugs Controller General of India inspected the pharmaceutical companies. The medicines made in these were not found to be of good quality, after which this decision has been taken. An order has also been issued to the companies to stop production of the medicines immediately.
A campaign has been going on against the pharmaceutical companies for many days. DCGI has been inspecting pharma companies in different states of the country since 20 days. During this time where medicines are not available as per the prescribed standards. There licenses are being cancelled. This step has been taken in this episode.
Among the companies whose licenses have been cancelled, there are 70 companies in Himachal Pradesh, 23 in Madhya Pradesh and 45 in Uttarakhand. This is not the first time that the Drugs Controller General of India has taken action against a pharma company
