Anganwadi workers will get 50 thousand on retirement
Dehradun. The amount received by the Anganwadi workers on retirement is going to increase from Rs 30,000 to Rs 50,000. Under the Ekal Mahila Swarozgar Yojana, women will be provided loans at affordable rates for self-employment.
Women Empowerment and Child Development Minister Rekha Arya has instructed to make a cabinet proposal for this. The plan to provide gas stoves for cooking food in Anganwadi centers is also being brought in the cabinet. While reviewing the schemes of Women Empowerment Department at Yamuna Colony camp office, he said that the scope of Mahalaxmi kit scheme is also being extended. Till now Mahalakshmi kit was given in this scheme only on the birth of the first girl child. Now it has also been decided to give this kit on the birth of a child. This proposal is also being brought in the cabinet. There is a provision to give 30 thousand rupees to Anganwadi workers on retirement. For this some contribution is taken from their honorarium. It has also been decided to increase this amount to 50 thousand in the meeting
