One lakh liters of water stolen from government tank here in Uttarakhand

Due to theft of water supply to people’s homes and hotels stopped, people wandered to the drop of water

Nainital. In Bhimtal, a case of theft of one lakh liters of water from the tank of Jal Sansthan has come to light.
This case of theft is related to one lakh liter water tank built in the middle of the forest in Jones State. Someone stole one lakh liters of water collected by Jal Sansthan from the tank on Friday night. Theft of water was done by installing pipe in the valve.
After the water was stolen, not even a drop of water trickled into people’s homes. Workers of many home stays, hotel resorts etc. in the area were also seen wandering for water. Many people bought water from private tanks.
More than a dozen hotel resorts as well as more than two thousand domestic connections are connected to this water tank. Councilor Bunty Arya of the affected ward six said that the problem of water is so much that people are forced to buy water from private tankers
