Phool Dei, Chamma Dei, Daini Dwar, Bhari Bhakar…festival today

Haldwani. Flower vase is today. Sangrand Parv is a festival related to nature. This is the children’s first encounter with nature. In Kumaon and Garhwal, children go from house to house with flowers and worship Delhi. There are many stories, legends, mythology associated with the festival.
The festival brings children closer to their folklore. As such, starting from Chaitra Sakranti (15 March), this festival is celebrated in many places till Ashtami (eighth day) and in some places till Baisakhi on 14 April. On the festival, a group of children reaches every house in the village with a plate of flowers. Children sing omen folk song….Phool Dei (May Dehri be full of flowers and auspicious), Chamma Dei (Dehri, forgiving means protect everyone), Daini Dwar (Dehri, home and time be good for all means be successful), Bhari Bhakar (full store of food in everyone’s house) Are).
The entrance of the house is worshiped with these flowers of Buransh, Mustard, Pyoli, Mijhol, Silphod. In return, the children are fed jaggery and misri by giving money as an omen. Rice ink is made in the evening on the flower pot. However, this folk festival in the villages has now been reduced to tradition. Most of the children have left the village and gone to the city for studies
