Haridwar. Shankaracharya Parishad President Swami Anand Swaroop Maharaj has demanded punitive action against Santosh Trivedi, the Teerth Purohit of Kedarnath Temple.
In a letter sent to Pushkar Singh Dhami, it has been said that
Lord Kedarnath is the center of faith of all the Hindus of the world. The livelihood of any Teerth Purohit goes on only with the blessings of Baba. Despite this, a statement has been made in the media by Teerth Purohit Santosh Trivedi only to gain cheap popularity that gold worth about 1.25 billion in Baba’s sanctum sanctorum has been converted into brass.
It has hurt me a lot to make the above misleading statement without any investigation. The religious sentiments of all my followers have been deeply hurt. Before this the atmosphere becomes extremely tense, immediate punitive action is necessary on this person.
Therefore, you are requested and it is also your moral responsibility to take cognizance of the said sensitive episode and take strict punitive action immediately so that no one can dare to mislead the Hindu society in future also
