Haridwar. Photographers caught and thrashed a constable of Uttar Pradesh Police who was drinking alcohol at Ganga Ghat in Rodibelwala area. The constable was handed over to the police. Police has challaned the accused under mission dignity.
According to the police, on Monday evening, a constable of the UP Police was taking a bath at the Ganga Ghat. It is alleged that during that time he started drinking alcohol at the ghat. Registering displeasure, the photographers roaming on the ghat told him not to drink alcohol on the ghat. It is alleged that during this he started misbehaving with her. After which the photographers caught him and started fighting. The police reached the spot as soon as the information was received. The constable was taken to Rodibelwala post. During interrogation, it was revealed that the accused Satyaveer is posted in Muzaffarnagar Police Line. Outpost in-charge Praveen Singh Rawat told that the accused has been challaned under Operation Mission Maryada
