If the roadway is obstructed due to any reason, information will be given for immediate diversion for other alternate routes.
Dehradun. As it is known that Chardham Yatra is held every year in the state, in which preparations are made by various departments at their own level for the successful conduct of the yatra. New works have been done by the Traffic Directorate, Uttarakhand for better traffic operation of Chardham Yatra and effective curbing of road accidents.
In the same order, in case of traffic problems in the Chardham Yatra route, such as (due to road accident, bad weather, debris coming on the road) if the road is closed, then an alternative route other than that route is immediately prepared for diversion. It should be done so that passengers do not face inconvenience on the way anHe was able to travel through the right path.For this a discussion/meeting was held by Mukhtar Mohsin, Inspector General of Police/Director Traffic Uttarakhand with the team of Google Map whose presentation was given by Lepton partner with Google in the office of Director Traffic today. In this, how in the upcoming Chardham Yatra, with the help of Google map, almost the best alternative route will be provided in case of road closure for the convenience of the passengers. Its live demo was also shown.
How this whole process will happen, it is divided into two parts:-
1.The police receives the first information about the problems faced in the traffic system, therefore, if any road is closed on the Chardham Yatra route, the police of that area will immediately inform about it in the Whatsapp group created by the Directorate of Traffic, Uttarakhand. In which they will immediately share the location of other alternative route which is better with Google/Mapples team.
- After getting the information, the road route will be updated immediately by uploading the diversion information on Google/Mapples map by the Google/Mapples map team.
Mr. Mukhtar Mohsin, Inspector General of Police/Director Traffic, Uttarakhand has told that all the passengers coming on the Chardham Yatra route should use Google/Mappls Map so that they can stay updated with better route information in the journey and stay away from any inconvenience.
