New Delhi. Cancer disease is increasing rapidly in India. According to the Union Ministry of Health, in the year 2022, 14 lakh 42 thousand 180 cancer patients have appeared. In the year 2021, this figure was 14,26,447. Earlier in the year 2020, 13,92,179 cases of cancer were reported. In this way, all the policy makers and experts are worried due to increase in cancer cases.
Cancer is a deadly disease. The continuous increase of this disease in India has become a major cause of concern. The Health Ministry of the Government of India and all the experts are worried due to the continuous increase of this disease. The government is proving unsuccessful in getting rid of this disease even after doing all kinds of experiments. The government’s effort is to make India cancer free by the year 2047, but the increasing number of patients is challenging this plan.
A senior health ministry official said that the changing lifestyle of Indians is the main reason for the rise in cancer cases. Everything is changing from food to our daily routine. Due to this change, many diseases including the deadly disease of cancer are increasing. The official said that the Government of India is working on a plan to make the country cancer free by the year 2047. Many types of research are being done for this.
Cancer treatment in private hospitals is very expensive. For the purpose of helping the general public, the Government of India has identified 39 such government hospitals across the country, where cancer is treated free of cost
