Dehradun: Tourists from all over the country are reaching Uttarakhand to celebrate New Year. The state government has taken several steps for the convenience of tourists. Hotels and restaurants will remain open 24 hours: The state government has issued an order to keep hotels, restaurants and dhabas open 24 hours. This will ensure that tourists will not face any problem in food and drink. Tight security arrangements in Almora: In Almora, the police held a meeting with hotel and resort owners and gave security instructions. The police have banned the use of loudspeakers and banned playing DJ after 10 pm. Efforts to keep power supply smooth: Uttarakhand Energy Corporation has completed preparations to keep power supply smooth on New Year. The corporation has instructed all the concerned officials to regularly monitor the power system. Managing Director Anil Kumar said that: * There was no power cut anywhere in the state on Friday. * On Saturday also, there is sufficient electricity available as compared to the demand.
- All preparations have been made to ensure that there is no power disruption anywhere on New Year.
- Instructions have been given to maintain proper power supply at pilgrimage and tourist places during winter.
