3 people drown during Holi, SDRF conducts search operation

Rishikesh Shivpuri and Patna waterfall incident, one agra, one resident of Kolkata and Moradabad

Rishikesh. The SDRF team received information about the drowning of 02 youths at Namami Gange Ghat in Shivpuri and 01 youth in Patna Water Fall under LaxmanJhula area.
On the said information, 02 teams of SDRF immediately rushed to the spot with necessary equipment. The SDRF team was informed by the locals that the two who drowned at Shivpuri Namami Gange Ghat were B.Tech students, who studied in Dehradun DIT and had come here for Holi with their friends. While bathing in the river, both the youths drowned in the river after going into deep water.

Youth drown at Shivpuri Namami Gange Ghat

  1. Aditya Raj, age 22 resident- Kolkata, West Bengal.
  2. Utkarsh Age 22, Resident- Agra, Uttar Pradesh.
    On the other hand, a young man drowned on Patna Water Fall had come to roam with his friends and fell into the river due to slipping of his leg. Shobhit Yadav, a 30-year-old resident of Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, drowned on Patna Waterfall.
    Two teams of SDRF searched both the spots but could not find anything about the said youths. The search operation will be conducted again tomorrow morning.
