Fire broke out in car accessories shop in Haldwani, loss worth Rs 15 lakh

Haldwani. A fire broke out in a car accessories shop near Prem Talkies Cinema Hall late on Wednesday night. Within no time the fire became huge. Four fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and brought the fire under control after two hours of hard work. SP City Harbans Singh along with Kotwal Harendra Chaudhary and the police team were busy extinguishing the fire. By then the goods worth lakhs kept in the shop were reduced to ashes. The cause of the fire is believed to be short-circuit.
Car seat cover and body cover and accessories items were lying in Suraj Gaddi Poster Car Accessories shop. Smoke was seen rising from the shop at around 11 pm. After receiving the information through dial 112 at 1115 hours, the police force including Kotwali and Bhotiya Padav reached the spot. Meanwhile, about four fire vehicles one after the other brought the fire under control.
Shop owner Dharmendra Kumar, son of Suraj Kumar said that there was a loss of about Rs 10 to 15 lakh due to the fire. All the goods kept in the shop have been burnt to ashes. There is a possibility of fire in the shop due to short circuit, the real reason will be known after examining the surrounding CCTV footage in the morning. SP City Harbans Singh said that prima facie the fire is believed to be caused by a short circuit. After investigation the real cause of the fire will be known. SP City has ordered an investigation into the incident.
