. On Thursday, former Chief Minister Harish Rawat sat on a sit-in protest against the lathi charge on the unemployed in Dehradun. Suddenly his health is reported to be deteriorating. At the same time, Congress workers led by Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress President Karan Mahra have started a sit-in against the government at the state Congress headquarters.
Former Chief Minister Harish Rawat said that injustice is being done to the youth of the state, it is not right to lathi-charge the youth. Congress state president Karan Mahara says that the government is conducting re-examinations without completing the investigation in the recruitment examinations, which is not right. The Congress state president also said that thousands of unemployed youth had demanded from the government that the government should not conduct recruitment examinations until the investigation is completed, but the government is adamant and doing injustice to the unemployed, which is less condemnable than it is.
Congress state president Karan Mahara said that our demand from the government is that the government should withdraw the case against the arrested unemployed and conduct an impartial investigation into those who threw stones at the hunger strike site yesterday.
