Nanda Gaura Scheme: FIR to be filed against 193 parents

Parents put up fake income certificates for scheme in Haridwar district

Dehradun. Women Empowerment and Child Development Minister Rekha Arya has directed to lodge an FIR against parents who submitted fake income certificates for Nanda Gaura Scheme in Haridwar district.
Departmental Minister Rekha Arya said that recently there were reports of fraud in Nanda Gaura Scheme from Haridwar district. Out of the total 1328 applications received in the scheme, 193 had submitted fake income certificates for it. The Chief Development Officer of Haridwar has already cancelled. He said that submitting such a large number of fake income certificates is tantamount to taking away the rights of eligible girls. Which needs to be stopped at all costs. In this order, during the financial year 2022-23, instructions have been given to register cases under relevant sections against the parents of ineligible beneficiaries and departmental officers and employees involved in the scheme. He has ordered all the officers to closely examine the applications received in the scheme and give benefits only to the eligible candidates.
