Ceremony of tying mehndi, kalava will not be done, decision taken
Meerut. Took many major decisions in Islahe Muashra at Jama Masjid. It was decided that nikah will not be read if there is DJ playing, dancing and singing in the marriage. A letter will be written to the Imams for this.
In a program organized at Jama Masjid, Delhi, Maulana Anees Ahmed Azad talked about walking on the path of religion. Said that the evils spread in the society should be eradicated. Said that Nikah will be taught in the mosque only. The rituals of tying turmeric, mehndi, kalava will not be done. In marriages in which the matter of DJ playing, fireworks, dancing on bandbaaz comes to the fore, neither will they go to them nor will they teach nikah. Nikah will be taught in the mosque only. It was presided over by Mufti Naeem Qasmi and coordinated by Maulana Asjad Qasmi.
