DM gave instructions after meeting with Ganga river rafting management committee

Rishikesh. Tourists will be given special facilities for rafting in Rishikesh. Tourists will see big changes in the coming days in the Kaudiyala-Muni ki Reti eco-tourism zone of Ganga.
Ganga River Rafting Management Committee is going to provide facilities to the tourists in the rafting zone. Not only this, facilities like fees etc. will also now be digital. On Wednesday, District Magistrate Tehri Mayur Dixit held a meeting with the Ganga River Rafting Management Committee at the Municipal Auditorium.
The District Magistrate asked the District Adventure Sports Officer to provide the raft register and list of guides. He also instructed to make roster and training module for training of raft honors and guides from 15 to 30 November 2023. Apart from this, the members of the committee were directed to coordinate with the bank for insurance of rafting companies.
The District Magistrate instructed to make changing rooms, toilets and systematic counters at the rafting sites, to cut slips online as well as to conduct all transactions through online means. The District Magistrate instructed to make dress code and ID cards of the personnel working in the committee, to install CC TV cameras. He asked to get an early inquiry into the accident that happened in the past, to take necessary action for water ambulance in Brahmpuri. Also directed the officials to make a ramp for unloading the rafts at Brahmpuri.
Along with this, instructions were given to make challan book for illegal and illegal rafting operations and to decide the amount of challan and to make rules for checking from time to time. In the meeting, the District Magistrate directed DFO Narendra Nagar to restore and repair the damaged pullin and pullout routes of rafting. He asked to complete the land transfer case of Campion site at the earliest.
At the same time, Eo Municipality Munikireti and Nagar Panchayat Tapovan were instructed to maintain cleanliness at rafting sites and arrange basic facilities to promote tourism. Along with this, the District Magistrate also discussed about using Gopro camera, cancellation of license in case of any kind of accident during rafting, marking company name and raft number in capital letters on all rafts for identification of rafts, etc.
