Construction of proposed ISBT to create parking in city
Haldwani.
The provincial industry trade delegation will strongly oppose the proposed flyover bridge in Haldwani, Uttarakhand. Naveen Verma, the outgoing president of the organisation, said there was no point in building flyovers in a densely populated city like Haldwani. The government should first construct the proposed ISBT in Haldwani for eight years and also consider some big parking in the city.
The construction of the flyover will affect the entire market of Haldwani, so it is being opposed by our district and city units. District President Vipin Gupta and District General Secretary Harshvardhan Pandey have also opposed the construction of the flyover, while District Youth Executive President Saurabh Bhatt has also demanded immediate cancellation of the proposed flyover and the construction of ISBT. “Why is the inter-state bus terminal being hung for so long? Haldwani Metropolitan Unit President Yogesh Sharma and General Secretary Manoj Jaiswal said that the flyover will prove fatal for a developed city like Haldwani, it will destroy the entire market. So we will oppose the flyover in every possible way. City youth wing president Pawan Verma said the proposed flyover should be scrapped immediately and alternative arrangements should be considered. The bus stand should be immediately built outside the city limits to prevent large buses from entering the city. Haldwani Metropolitan Unit will soon meet the District Magistrate and public representatives in this regard.
