Night encounter in Bijnor Seohara, absconding since 2022
Bijnor. Aditya Rana, a resident of village Rana Nangla of Seohara police station area, who had a reward of two and a half lakhs, was killed by the police in an encounter on Tuesday night. The encounter took place in the forest of Seohara area. Aditya escaped from police custody in Shahjahanpur on 23 August 2022 while going from Bijnor Peshi to Lucknow Jail.
Police had received information that Aditya was in the forest of Budhanpur Chowki area. Trying to run away somewhere. On information, the force of several police stations including the SP laid siege to the miscreant. He was injured in retaliatory firing by the police. He was taken to the hospital, where he died. Five policemen were also injured in the encounter
