Dehradun. Online booking facility will now be available for homestays in the state. Uttarakhand Tourism Development Council has launched a portal for homestay booking for the first time. No fee or commission will be charged from the operators for booking homestays through this portal. More than five thousand homestays are registered in the state, there is a plan to connect wellness centers with homestays in the coming time.
The Tourism Department has launched the www.uttarastays.com portal for online booking. On this portal, homestay operators will have to register by signing an agreement and giving complete information about the homestay. This portal will promote the marketing of homestays. Tourists staying in homestays will have the facility to give ratings on the booking portal, which will give the operators an opportunity to improve from the feedback received about the services of homestays.
