Kathgodam police reached the house of absconding Deepak Sisodia, who was sentenced to life imprisonment in journalist Z murder case, and attached the property. Deepak Sisodia has been sentenced to life imprisonment for aiding in the murder of Mumbai crime reporter Jade. He has been absconding since he was released on parole in January this year.
A case of assault is also registered against Deepak Sisodia in Kathgodam police station. The court had issued a warrant against him after he failed to appear in the court. Even after this he did not reach the court. Now the court has issued orders for attachment of property. Under the order, on Friday morning, under the leadership of Kheda Chowki in-charge Manoj Kumar, the team raided his house in Jeetpur Negi. Deepak Sisodia was not found in the house, but the police confiscated his belongings. SO Kathgodam Pramod Pathak told that this action has been taken after the order of the court. The report is being submitted after handing over the goods to the neighbour. On the other hand, it is being told that Deepak Sisodia is currently hiding in Nepal. Police has been waiting for Deepak to come to Haldwani for a long time.
According to the police, at one time Deepak Sisodia used to have assets worth crores. He came home after being released from parole. During this, he transferred his property to his family members and relatives. According to the police, at present only the goods kept in the house in the name of Deepak Sisodia have been attached by the police
