Chances of thunderstorms and heavy rains, likely to reach monsoon by end of June
Haldwani. The impact of Cyclone Biparjoy, which reached Gujarat, can also be seen in Uttarakhand in the next few days. The Meteorological Department has predicted thunderstorms and heavy rains in most areas of the state from June 18, which may continue for two to three days.
The scorching sun is scorching from the mountains to the plains in the state. However, there was light drizzle along with partly cloudy sky in many areas, but there was no respite from the humidity. No change is expected in the weather pattern in the state on Friday also.
According to Bikram Singh, director of the Meteorological Center, at present the weather is dry in most areas of the state. However, due to the activation of Western Disturbance, clouds are hovering at some places. The partial effect of cyclonic storm Biparjoy can also be seen in Uttarakhand.
