Due to Kartik Purnima Snan festival, entry of heavy vehicles is prohibited in Haridwar urban area from 6 pm on Sunday to 10 pm on Monday.
Haridwar. In view of the crowd of devotees on Kartik Purnima Snan festival, a traffic plan has been issued, under which the entry of heavy vehicles in Haridwar urban area has been banned from 6 pm on Sunday to 10 pm on Monday. SSP Pramendra Dobal has given instructions to follow the traffic system.
SP Traffic Ajay Ganapati said that the vehicles coming to Haridwar for bathing from Delhi-Meerut-Muzaffarnagar will reach Haridwar via Delhi-Meerut-Muzaffarnagar-Narson-Mangalore Core Chowk. Here, via Alaknanda-Deendayal Pantdweep-Chamgadad Tapu Dhaba, we will reach Shankaracharya Chowk via Gurukul Kangri. When traffic pressure increases, parking will be done in Bairagi Camp parking. Vehicles coming to Haridwar from Punjab-Haryana for bathing will reach Bhagwanpur, Salier, Bijauli Chowk, Nagla Imarti-Core College-Bahadrabad Bypass-Harilok Tiraha Gurukul Kangri Haridwar and will stop at Alaknanda-Deendayal-Pantdweep-Chamkad Island. Small vehicles coming from Najibabad to Haridwar for bathing will be diverted to Deendayal-Pantdweep-Chamgadad Tapu and big vehicles will be diverted to Najibabad-Chidiyapur-Shyampur-4.2 and parked at Gaurishankar-Neeldhara. Vehicles coming from Dehradun and Rishikesh to Haridwar for bathing will be sent to Motichoor parking via Dehradun, Rishikesh-Nepali Farm, Raiwala Doodhadhari Tiraha. Vehicles coming to Haridwar from SIDCUL and Shivalik Nagar side will be parked at Rishikul Maidan from SIDCUL and Shivaliknagar Chowk-Bhagat Singh Chowk, Ranipur Mod, Premnagar Ashram Chowk service lane, tourist buses and tractor trolleys coming from Delhi side will be parked at Rishikul Maidan/Safe. Parking will be done at Hariram Inter College.
As traffic pressure increases, autos, Vikams and e-rickshaws coming from Dehradun and Rishikesh will be sent back by making a U-turn from Jairam turn. Auto-Vikram and e-rickshaws coming from Jwalapur will return from Shivmurti Tiraha via Tulsi Chowk to Devpura Tiraha. Autos, Vikrams and e-rickshaws coming from Jagjitpur will return from Singhdwar. Autos, Vikrams, e-rickshaws coming from Kankhal will return from Tulsi Chowk. Vikram coming from BHEL, auto rickshaw will return from Rishikul Tiraha via Tibri Gate, Old Ranipur mode via Bhagat Singh Chowk. Autos, Vikrams, e-rickshaws coming from Hill Bypass will return from Bilwakeshwar Tirahe. There will be zero zone from Chandi Chowk to Valmiki Chowk to Shivmurti Chowk. There will be zero zone from Shivmurti Chowk to Harki Paidi. There will be zero zone from Bhimgowda barrier to Harki Paidi.
