Uttarkashi. All preparations have been completed for the opening of the portals of Gangotri-Yamunotri Dham. Today Maa Ganga’s doli will leave for Gangotri Dham at 12.15 pm after offering prayers from its winter stay Mukhba. For which preparations have started for the farewell of Mother Ganga in Mukhba village as well. Dhams are being decorated with colorful flowers.
Harish Semwal, chairman of the Gangotri Temple Committee, told that Maa Ganga’s doli will leave for Gangotri Dham from Mukhimath (Mukhba) during its winter stay. Before this, worship of Mother Ganga will be done from morning. After this, Maa Ganga ki Utsav Doli will leave for Gangotri Dham from Mukhba at 12.15 along with hundreds of devotees to the tune of traditional musical instruments and 11th Battalion Jeklai Army Band. Which will reach Gangotri Dham on Saturday morning after resting the night at Bhairav ​​temple. Where Ganga Poojan, after duly worshiping with Ganga Sahastratnam, the doors of Gangotri Dham will be opened for devotees coming from India and abroad at 12.35 pm along with Vedic chanting.
