Dehradun. In view of the increasing cases of corona, a mock drill will be conducted in the state today to test the arrangements for health services. The purpose of mock drill is to make the preparations more concrete by correcting the flaws on time. This will be done in accordance with the instructions of the Central Government. Corona cases are increasing in the country and the state. Necessary guidelines have been given to all the Chief Medical Officers for the prevention and control of Covid-19, seasonal influenza and other respiratory diseases.
Instructions have been given to closely monitor influenza cases at the hospital level. It has been said that sufficient samples of suspected patients should be sent for influenza and Covid-19 tests. At the same time, details of all patients have also been compulsorily put on the Integrated Health Information Platform under IDSP. Instructions were also given to increase testing, RT-PCR testing of most of the samples, prompt testing and preventive action on receipt of cluster cases and ensuring availability of sufficient quantity of oxygen cylinders, oxygen concentrators, oxygen beds, ventilators, ICU beds and essential medicines in medical units. are given.
It has also been asked to ensure the functioning of the oxygen generation plant installed in the medical units and continuous training of personnel for Covid-management. A total of 7703 oxygen beds, 852 ICU beds and 1165 ventilators are available in state government hospitals. The guidelines issued from time to time for prevention and control of Corona-19 will be strictly implemented
