No point in building corridor at Harki Padi: Subramanian Swamy

People are unhappy with the construction of corridor in Varanasi, says former Law Minister
Haridwar.
Former Law Minister Dr Subramanian Swamy said, “There is no justification for developing Harki Padi as a corridor on the lines of Kashi Vishwanath Corridor. It has been said that the Harki Padi Corridor will spoil the beauty of Haridwar. So he will oppose it.
Talking to reporters at the Atal Bihari State Guest House in Haridwar on Sunday, he said that information about the construction of Harki Padi Corridor has come to his notice.

Many temples had to be demolished, so I oppose that nothing like this happens here. The Chief Minister should explain to the officials who have thought about the scheme that doing this would amount to hurting the holy land. Developing the corridor will spoil the beauty of Haridwar. The corridor was developed in Varanasi, the people there are still unhappy. Temples were demolished in the name of development. People’s constructions were broken.
