Now Uttarakhand will also be known for military base: CDS

Dehradun.
CDS General Anil Chauhan reached Dehradun on the occasion of the foundation day of Amar Jawan Jyoti. He said that Uttarakhand is a state bordering China. Politically we can call it a frontline state but unfortunately very few people realize it. Military practices and traditions are practically ingrained in life here. We should propagate this thing among the residents of this place.
Today it is a matter of great honor and pride for me that I have got the opportunity to participate in the historic occasion of establishment of ‘Amar Jawan Jyoti’. This occasion is also proud because the soil of the courtyard of 1734 martyrs of the state is being included in the foundation of Amar Jawan Jyoti. Along with this, water from 28 rivers of the state has also been brought to this place. Armed forces have played a major role in national security, but in my opinion, we all countrymen have equal responsibility for national security and nation building.
He said that the kind of youth who will come forward for national security depends on how we respect our ex-servicemen and martyrs. On behalf of the armed forces, I thank the state government and all the citizens of Uttarakhand for thinking in this direction and building a military base.
Till now only war memorials are built as a memorial to the martyrs. It was never constructed as a spiritual place. This work has been done for the first time in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. We all should be proud of this. Uttarakhand is famous for Char Dham but now it will also be known for Military Dham.
Through Sainik Dham, the people of Uttarakhand have immortalized their soldiers and ensured that their legacy lives on in the hearts and minds of generations to come. This holy place not only honors the soldiers who died on the battlefield but also pays respect to those who sacrificed their lives in disaster management.
Uttarakhand is known as Devbhoomi. Where gods and goddesses reside, but if the number of soldiers of Uttarakhand in the armed forces is seen, then it can also be called a military land. The reason for this is the attachment of the citizens towards military traditions.
Since ancient times, the heroes of Uttarakhand have made their mark on the world stage with immense courage while protecting humanity and the nation. From protecting the sages who did penance on this holy land from the Vedic era to the present day also, the soldiers here have had a respectable presence in the battle
