Rudrapur. On May 5, a young man who left for Haldwani from Kichha was murdered by his own friends with an axe. The body was thrown into the drain. The young man is suspected of having an illegal relationship with a woman behind the murder. Police has registered a case against the accused. According to the police, Vishwajit Vishwas (19 years) son Haridas Vishwas, resident of Subhash Colony, Azad Nagar Ward 2 Kichha, used to work as a painter. On May 5, he had left home on a bike saying that he was going to Haldwani. After this he did not return. Vishwajeet’s brother Anil lodged a missing complaint on May 12. Meanwhile, Biswajeet’s bike was found abandoned by the UP Police three days ago between village Kathganri and Mudia Colony. UP Police informed in Kichha Kotwali.
While investigating, the police took two friends of Vishwajit into custody. On strict questioning, the accused confessed to killing the youth. The police recovered the dead body from the drain near the temple across the Azadnagar road on his tip. Kotwal Dhirendra Kumar said that Vishwajit’s body was recovered from the drain on the tip of the suspects. The suspects are being interrogated to ascertain the exact cause of the murder.
