Single government employees will get 180 days leave for adopting a child below one year

contract, outsource will get the benefit of 120 days leave

Single government employees will get leave for 180 days on adoption of a child below one year of age. This facility will be valid after the period of issue of GO on cabinet decision.
This benefit can be availed once in the entire service period. While the contractual, outsourced will get the benefit of 120 days leave. Along with this, the government also approved the proposal of providing child care leave (CCL) to women employees working in various departments on contract, outsourced basis, maternity leave to daily wage earners.
According to sources, Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Premchand Aggarwal had already approved this proposal at the departmental level. Today, these proposals were unanimously approved in the cabinet. The proposal of leave facility to government employees on adoption of a child is new. It is to be known that government women employees are given CCL up to two years till their two children attain the age of 18 years. Now this facility will also be available to contract and outsourced women workers. They can take 15 days leave in a year. Similarly, outsourced and contract employees will also get the facility of 15 days paternity leave, which is available to male government employees of the state.
