Panic in Gangolihat due to four murders, absconding accused not found
Pithoragarh. In Bursum village of Gangolihat tehsil, the accused of triple murder has also killed his wife. After strangling his wife to death with a dupatta, the accused is absconding after locking the house from outside. The murder came to light around 9 o’clock last night. Due to four murders, there is panic in the village.
Murderer Santosh Ram killed his mother-in-law, mother-in-law and daughter on Friday morning by slitting their throats with a sharp weapon on their bed. After the murder, he intimidated and took his wife Chanda Devi with him. According to the incident till evening, the police was looking for the possibility of absconding with his wife.
The dead body of his wife was found in the second house of the murderer, located about 20 meters away from the spot of the former, around 9 o’clock in the evening. Seeing the lock outside the house in the evening, when his minor daughters opened the lock, they saw the dead body of their mother Chanda Devi inside the house. Both the girls informed the police present on the spot.
According to the police, the murderer killed his wife by strangling her with a dupatta. Dupatta has been found on the spot. This is the first case of four murders in the district. Superintendent of Police Lokeshwar Singh said that the police is busy searching for the murderer. The murder of four women of the same family in a single day has created panic in the village.
