Uttarakhand will become global tourism destination, CM signs MoU worth Rs 4800 crore with investors in London

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has gone to Britain to invite industrial houses for the Global Investors Conference.

Dehradun. The visit of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, who went to Britain to invite industrial houses for the Global Investors Conference, is proving to be quite successful. After signing an agreement worth Rs 2000 crore on the first day, now MoUs worth Rs 4800 crore were signed with Kyan Jet and Usha Breco for investment in Uttarakhand. Kayan Jet will invest in the field of developing skiing resort and cable car and Usha Breco Limited Ropeway in Uttarakhand.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met representatives of many leading industrial houses during the road show during his visit to London. Industrial group Kayan Jet signed MoUs for investment of Rs 2100 crore for skiing resort and Rs 1700 crore for cable car project in Uttarakhand. Usha Braco, a leading company in the ropeway sector, signed an MoU worth Rs 1000 crore to develop ropeways in Haridwar and other districts. Secretary Industries Vinay Shankar Pandey signed these MoUs on behalf of Uttarakhand.
80 industrial houses from education, tourism, IT and health sectors participated in this program. Apart from India House, the delegation led by the Chief Minister also visited Parliament House and interacted with members of the British Parliament. During this, the Chief Minister also invited all the investors to come to Uttarakhand for the Global Investors Conference to be held in December.
Referring to World Tourism Day, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the state government is continuously working towards making Uttarakhand a global tourism destination. There is immense potential in the field of wellness tourism and village tourism in Uttarakhand.
The government is going to build a world class convention center in Rishikesh and other places. Indian High Commissioner Vikram Doraiswami appreciated the various policies and positive vision of the Uttarakhand government. He said that Uttarakhand, being at some distance from the national capital, is developing as a weekend destination for the residents of Delhi and NCR. Secretary to Chief Minister R Meenakshi Sundaram, Director General Industries Rohit Meena and Additional Local Commissioner Ajay Mishra were also present on this occasion.
