Rudraprayag. A case has been registered after the video of note blowing in the sanctum sanctorum of Kedarnath temple went viral on social media. In the video, the female pilgrim is seen tossing notes over the self-styled linga. A case has been registered at Sonprayag police station on the complaint of Badri-Kedar Temple Committee (BKTC).
BKTC swung into action after the video went viral. BKTC President Ajendra Ajey wrote a letter to DM and SP for action in the matter. BKTC CEO Yogendra Singh told that this video is said to be 14-15 days old. Rudraprayag Superintendent of Police Visakha Ashok Bhadane said that on the basis of BKTC’s Tahrir, a case has been registered against the unknown under section 295A for hurting religious sentiments. The video is being investigated.
BKTC has seen the CCTV footage of the sanctum sanctorum from its level. Based on this, a complaint was given to the police for action in the matter. Kedar Sabha President Rajkumar Tiwari said that the incident of blowing notes in the sanctum sanctorum is condemnable.
