The recruitment examination for a total of 563 posts of Patwari and Lekhpal in the state concluded peacefully on Sunday.

Chief Minister Mr. Pushkar Singh Dhami congratulated the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission as well as the administration for the peaceful completion of the examination and said that the state government will not allow the youth to be harmed. India’s strictest anti-copying law has been enacted in the state to crack down on the cheating mafia. The new ordinance provides for both cheating and executors, confiscation of their properties and imposition of hefty fines.
The Chief Minister said that the examination calendar of various recruitments has been released. Candidates should get together with full enthusiasm for the upcoming recruitment examinations. On Sunday, recruitment examination was conducted for 172 posts of Lekhpal and 391 posts of Patwari at various examination centers of the state. Out of the total 158210 candidates registered, 103730 candidates appeared in the examination.
Significantly, the examination was conducted for the first time on 8 January 2023 for the said posts. After receiving a complaint of paper leak, the said examination was canceled and the examination was held again on Sunday.
The administration was fully geared up to conduct the examination fairly and peacefully. Security arrangements were put in place outside the examination centres across the state. Only after intensive checking, candidates were allowed to enter the examination centers. Police personnel remained stationed at the centres till the examination was fully concluded. From time to time, necessary data from the centers was shared with the control room.
