Chief Minister spoke to entrepreneurs in the Regional Investment Conclave to improve the single window system, Haridwar will develop through investment.
Haridwar. The pace of development has continuously increased in Uttarakhand. Now many avenues of investment are opening up in the state. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that we are ready for the Global Investors Summit to be held on December 8 and 9.
CM Dhami has been interacting with investors in London, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Rudrapur etc. in connection with the summit for the last four months. In which support was received from a large number of investors. The enthusiasm shown by investors is energy generating. All are working as brand ambassadors to make the summit a success.
CM Dhami said that if investment increases, employment will increase, people will get work and unemployment will reduce. 304 MoU proposals worth Rs 37,820.47 crore were signed in districts Haridwar and Dehradun. In this, 185 MoU proposals worth Rs 23,682.38 crore were signed in Haridwar. Similarly, proposals on 119 MOUs worth Rs 14,138.09 crore were signed in Dehradun district.
The Chief Minister also mentioned SIDCUL while addressing the entrepreneurs at the Regional Investment Conclave under the Global Investors Summit-2023 at Hotel Yeshail Center (Radiation Blue) on Friday. He said that since the establishment of Haridwar Sidcul, lakhs of people are getting employment opportunities. The model of Haridwar Sidcul is being discussed everywhere.
The Chief Minister said that in keeping with the Prime Minister’s resolve to make the country’s economy worth Rs 5 trillion by the year 2025, our state has also set a target of doubling its GSDP in the next five years. In order to which we have started Strong Uttarakhand Mission. Said that so far agreements worth Rs 2 lakh crore have been signed with investors for this summit.
The Chief Minister said that the system of single window system for approvals of licenses etc. has been improved in the state. For this event we have identified focus sectors for the state. Rail, road and air connectivity is also continuously improving in the state.
Haridwar MP Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said that since the establishment of Haridwar Sidcul till today, we are witness to its ups and downs. Today the progress of Haridwar Sidcul is commendable. Entrepreneur and Association President Harendra Garg said that in today’s event, MoUs worth thousands of crores have been signed, which is quite encouraging.
