2 students who went to bathe with friends died due to drowning in the river

One incident took place in Nainital and the other in Dehradun district
Haldwani.
Two students died of drowning while taking a bath while going for a picnic with friends. One incident is from Nainital district and the other from Dehradun district. There is chaos in the family due to the death of the students.
According to information, Chinmay Jeena (16), a resident of Haldwani Amba Bihar, had gone to Mukteshwar on Saturday to hang out with his friends. While taking a bath in the river near Chafi, Chinmay went into deep water, which could not be traced. On receiving the information, the team of Police and Revenue Department reached the spot, which was searched, the search continued till late night. The search operation had to be stopped due to darkness. The search will be done again on Sunday morning. Police and SDRF team recovered the body of the teenager from the river by running a search operation within an hour. The police have taken the body into custody and sent it for postmortem.
According to the Raiwala police, 16-year-old Yash’s son Arjun Rana, a resident of Gram Sabha Pratitnagar, had reached Gauharimafi with a friend. While taking a bath in the Saung river at around 6 pm on Saturday evening, he suddenly got caught in the strong current. On flowing in Song, the fellow informed the villagers about it. He informed the police and SDRF, then immediately SDRF personnel reached the spot. He conducted a search operation in the Saung river in search of Yash. After about an hour, SDRF jawans recovered Yash from the river in an unconscious condition and took him to the hospital. Police Station Trainee IPS Jitendra Mehra told that the doctors declared him dead. The dead body has been sent for post-mortem.
