30 new dengue patients found in Dehradun district, fear of dengue sting with rain

Dehradun. On Wednesday, 30 new cases of dengue were found in the capital Dehradun. Which is the highest number of cases found in a day so far. Out of these 16 people are admitted in Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital. Apart from this, six people each are being treated at Kailash Hospital and Coronation Hospital and two are being treated at Doon Medical College Hospital. So far 240 cases of dengue have been found this season. Out of which 183 patients have become healthy. Presently there are 56 active dengue patients.
In view of the increasing cases of dengue, the scope of sampling is also being increased. On Wednesday also 1256 samples were sent for ELISA test. Whereas in this season, ELISA test of more than 15 thousand samples has been done. Overall, the outbreak of dengue is increasing instead of stopping. That too when the Health Department and the Municipal Corporation are claiming to have taken all possible steps to prevent dengue.
Departmental officials are saying that action is being taken at every level for the prevention of dengue. Teams are making people aware by going to the areas and also source reduction. The places where dengue larvae are being found are being destroyed on the spot. People are constantly being appealed to maintain cleanliness in their homes and surrounding areas. Do not allow water to collect in empty vessels.
