Dehradun.
For the first time VIP darshan in Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham, a fee of Rs 300 will have to be paid. Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) has decided to implement the system of fees in the Chardham Yatra to study the system of worship and darshan in the four major temples of the country Tirupati Balaji, Vaishno Devi, Mahakaleshwar and Somnath temples. The decision was taken in a board meeting chaired by BKTC chairman Ajendra Ajay. In this, many important decisions were taken regarding the arrangements for Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham. The action plan regarding Chardham Yatra was also approved.
BKTC CEO Yogendra Singh presented the budget.
Under the protocol, only the personnel of BKTC will take care of the VIPs coming for darshan in the temples and distribution of prasad etc. This will not create chaos in the name of VIP facility. Till now, police, administration, BKTC etc manage the darshan arrangements in their own way to give darshan to VIPs.
Whatever donation or offering the devotees give to the temple, it will not be accepted by the paid priests and employees of BKTC. The personnel associated with the worship system will motivate the devotees to put donations and offerings in the donation box. Otherwise action will be taken against the personnel. A transparent arrangement will be made for counting the donations received by the temples. For this, transparent glass huts will be made in both the dhams. Which will be equipped with CCTV cameras.
