17088 registrations for Baba Kedarnath
Dehradun. This year too, registration for Chardham Yatra will be done both online and offline. Online registration has been opened for Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham. While online registration for these dhams will be started after the date of opening of the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri is duly announced. If you want to register online on the website for Chardham Yatra, then you have to login to registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in. The system of offline registration will start a few days before the commencement of the Chardham Yatra.
As many as 31,565 pilgrims had registered online till 5.30 pm on the first day of the opening of the online registration. In which 14294 pilgrims registered for Badrinath and 17088 devotees registered for Kedarnath.
This year, the date of opening of kedarnath temple on April 25 and Badrinath dham on April 27 has been fixed. While the date of opening the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham has not been officially announced yet. Although the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham are opened on Akshaya Tritiya date as per tradition, this year Akshaya Tritiya festival is on April 22.
Here’s how you can register
The government has released a website and WhatsApp numbers for registration for the Chardham Yatra. If you want to register online on the website for Chardham Yatra, then you have to login to registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in.
After this, you can register yourself by going to Register / Login and giving other information including name, phone number. Apart from this, you can WhatsApp on 8394833833 on the messaging app WhatsApp. For registration through this medium, you have to send a travel message to this number. After this, you will be asked some questions, answering which you can register for the Chardham Yatra.
