A herd of elephants jammed the Kordwar

National Highway, an atmosphere of chaos near the Siddhabali temple, incident at 6 pm
Kotdwar. A herd of elephants came in front of the Siddhabali temple on the Kotdwar-Pauri National Highway on Wednesday evening. Seeing the elephants, there was chaos among the people who came out on the evening walk. Traffic was disrupted on the highway for about half an hour. Forest officials who reached the information smoothened the traffic on the highway by driving the elephants down into the Khoh river.
Seeing the herd of elephants on the banks of National Highway 534, the people present there stopped breathing. The incident took place on Wednesday, February 15 around 6 pm. The Meerut-Buakhal National Highway 534 was also heavily jammed due to the arrival of elephants in front of the Tilvadagh forest checkpost of Lansdowne forest and the reception hall of Corbett National Park. Some people came out of the vehicles and made videos of the herd of elephants. Ajay Dhyani, Forest Officer of Lansdowne Forest Division, told that due to the increase in the heat, the herd of elephants is moving towards the Khoh river in search of water and food. Forest Department is making people aware that while driving on the road, take care of the movement of wild animals.
