Nainital. A youth posted on contract in Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam committed suicide by hanging himself in his house on Tuesday night. On Wednesday, after conducting the post-mortem, the police handed over the body to the family members.
Vijay Kumar (45), resident of Narayan Nagar, was posted at the rope-way point in the corporation. He took leave on Tuesday. His sons Naman and Yug are playing Paath in Ramlila going on in Narayan Nagar. Even on Tuesday night the children had gone to the Ramlila site. He returned at 3 o’clock. Then Vijay slept in a separate room. On Wednesday morning, when his family members went to his room with tea, he was found hanging from a bat using his dupatta. SI Priyanka Maurya of Mallital Kotwali said that investigation is being done in the matter. He has left behind two children as well as other family members including his wife and mother.
