Police arrested three accused, the incident took place due to old rivalry
Haridwar. A youth resident of Kankhal, who was sleeping at a dhaba in Harki Paidi area, was shot dead. Police have arrested three accused.
Near Hathipul of Harki Paidi area is the dhaba of Kushalpal, resident of Bajriwala Basti Bairagi Camp of Kankhal. Karan alias Kannu (19), resident of Kumhargarha Kankhal, was sleeping at his dhaba on Sunday night. On Monday morning, at around quarter to five, three youths riding a motorcycle reached the dhaba and killed Karan by shooting him in the head. On information, SP City Swatantra Kumar reached the spot with the team. When the police scanned the CCTV footage installed around the incident site, three youths were seen absconding. Within a few hours, the police arrested the perpetrators of the murder, Harshit Dhiman alias Chadha, resident of Pahari Bazar, Peepalwali Haveli, Kankhal, Sanskaar Sharma, resident of Ramdev’s Pulia Bhagwat Vatika Colony and tenant Ravikant Ramdev, resident of Kapil Chaudhary, Pulia Punjabi area. Investigation revealed that about a month ago, the main accused Harshit Dhiman was beaten up by Kannu and his associates. Since then Harshit was harboring a grudge against him.
