Police found many important clues in CCTV footage
Dehradun. The police have identified the culprits in the murder of a young man staying in a home stay near Bhatta village on the Mussoorie-Dehradun highway by slitting his throat, but have not been arrested yet. Apart from Haridwar, the police is raiding Uttar Pradesh in search of the accused. A love dispute is believed to be the reason behind the murder.
On the morning of September 10, the body of Kapil Chaudhary, a resident of Adarsh Nagar, Roorkee, was found in the home stay located in Bhatta village of Mussoorie. His throat was found slit with a sharp weapon in the room. The murder accused had hidden the body under the bed of the room.
Investigation revealed that Kapil had come to the home stay on September 9 with two young men and a girl. After dinner, all three went to the room. On the morning of 10 September, Kapil’s car was also not found outside the home stay. The accused young man and woman had fled with his car. The CCTV footage revealed that the young man and the girl with whom Kapil was staying had left the place without informing at 4 am on Sunday. When the police reached the spot and started investigation, the number plate of the car was found out.
The mobile numbers of the accused found by the police are also currently switched off. In such a situation, the police is trying to reach the accused by chasing them. For this, CCTV footage is being scanned at various places.
